APP TERMS

Tapster App Terms of Use

Effective date: 4 June 2026

These Terms of Use ("Terms") apply to your access to and use of the Tapster mobile application for iOS and Android, including related app features, account functions, wearable management, NFC-based interactions, and payment card provisioning flows (together, the "App").

The App is provided by Tapster AB, Swedish company registration number 559237-5165, Ostermalmsgatan 26A, 114 26 Stockholm, Sweden ("Tapster", "we", "us" or "our"). You can contact us at support@gotapster.com.

By creating an account, accepting these Terms, or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. Relationship to other terms

These Terms apply to the App and are separate from Tapster's online store terms and product purchase terms, which apply when you buy physical Tapster products from gotapster.com or another sales channel.

Your use of the App may also be subject to:

  • Tapster's Privacy Policy: https://gotapster.com/policies/privacy-policy
  • terms from your card issuer, bank, payment network, wallet provider, tokenization provider, or other payment service provider;
  • terms presented during a card provisioning, activation, authentication, or wearable-service flow;
  • Apple App Store, Apple Media Services, Google Play, or device manufacturer terms that apply to your download and use of the App.

If a third-party payment, issuer, bank, card network, authentication, or app-store term conflicts with these Terms for that third-party service, the third-party term applies to that third-party service. These Terms continue to apply to your use of the Tapster App.

2. What the App does

The App helps you connect, manage, and use compatible Tapster wearables. Depending on your device, wearable, country, card issuer, and supported services, the App may allow you to:

  • create and manage a Tapster account;
  • identify, add, rename, remove, or view compatible Tapster wearables;
  • use NFC or supported hardware to interact with a wearable;
  • initiate payment card provisioning, activation, authentication, replacement, removal, or related service flows;
  • view wearable service status, payment-card status, instructions, support content, and related information;
  • access support links and Tapster content.

The App is not a bank, card issuer, payment account, wallet, payment institution, or financial adviser. Tapster does not issue payment cards, hold customer funds through the App, approve or decline card transactions, set card limits, determine whether your card is eligible, or control your bank's authentication requirements. Payment capability depends on third parties, including your card issuer, payment network, Fidesmo-related services, wallet or tokenization providers, and the merchants where you try to use the wearable.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of legal majority in your country if higher, to create an account and use payment-related features of the App. If you use the App on behalf of another person or organization, you confirm that you are authorized to do so and that they agree to these Terms.

You are responsible for making sure that your use of the App, your wearable, and any payment service is lawful in the country where you use them.

4. Your account

You must provide accurate account information and keep it up to date. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account, except where caused by Tapster's breach of these Terms or applicable law.

If you believe your account, wearable, phone, payment card, or credentials have been lost, stolen, compromised, or used without authorization, you must promptly contact your card issuer or bank and Tapster support. For payment cards, your issuer or bank is the primary contact for blocking cards, disputing transactions, and handling unauthorized payment activity.

5. Compatible devices, wearables, and cards

The App requires compatible software, hardware, NFC capability, internet access, and a compatible Tapster wearable. Some features may require a supported iOS or Android version, a supported card issuer, specific card schemes, authentication methods, or geographic availability.

Compatibility can change over time because of updates, third-party requirements, card issuer decisions, security requirements, certification rules, or legal requirements. Tapster may update, add, restrict, suspend, or discontinue App features where reasonably necessary, including for security, compliance, operational, or technical reasons.

6. Payment card provisioning and wearable use

When you use the App to add or manage a payment card on a wearable, you may be asked to provide information, authenticate with your issuer, accept issuer or service terms, or complete security steps. You authorize Tapster and its service providers to transmit the information needed to perform the requested flow.

You agree that:

  • only you may provision cards that you are authorized to use;
  • you will not attempt to add, activate, use, remove, or manipulate a card, token, service, or wearable without authorization;
  • you will follow all security instructions shown in the App or provided by your issuer;
  • you will keep your phone, wearable, credentials, and authentication methods secure;
  • you will promptly report lost or stolen wearables or suspected unauthorized payment activity to your issuer or bank.

Tapster is not responsible for issuer decisions, card eligibility, authentication failures, transaction approvals or declines, merchant acceptance, payment network availability, chargebacks, cardholder disputes, or financial losses caused by unauthorized use of your payment card, except to the extent Tapster is liable under mandatory law.

7. Acceptable use

You must not:

  • use the App unlawfully, fraudulently, or deceptively;
  • interfere with, disrupt, reverse engineer, decompile, modify, copy, scrape, or attempt to extract source code from the App, except where mandatory law permits this;
  • bypass security, authentication, eligibility, geographic, issuer, or certification controls;
  • use the App to access, provision, test, or manipulate cards, tokens, accounts, services, or wearables that you are not authorized to use;
  • introduce malware or harmful code;
  • overload, scan, attack, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to Tapster systems or third-party systems;
  • use the App in a way that could damage Tapster, users, issuers, payment networks, service providers, app stores, or merchants.

We may suspend or terminate access to the App or specific features if we reasonably believe that you have breached these Terms, created security or fraud risk, violated law, or used the App in a way that could harm Tapster, users, or third parties.

8. Privacy and data

Tapster processes personal data in accordance with its Privacy Policy. The Privacy Policy explains what data Tapster collects, how it is used, how long it is kept, how it may be shared, and how you can exercise your privacy rights.

Payment-related flows may involve third parties such as card issuers, payment networks, authentication providers, Fidesmo-related service providers, cloud providers, and app stores. Those parties may process data under their own privacy notices and legal responsibilities.

Tapster does not store your full payment card number through the App unless expressly stated in a specific service flow and permitted by applicable law and security rules. Card provisioning and tokenization may require secure exchange of card, device, wearable, issuer, and authentication information between relevant parties.

9. Intellectual property and license

Tapster and its licensors own the App, including software, design, trademarks, logos, text, images, and other content. Subject to these Terms, Tapster grants you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use the App on devices you own or control, solely for personal use and as permitted by the applicable app-store terms.

You may not use Tapster's trademarks, branding, content, or App materials without Tapster's prior written permission, except as allowed by law.

10. Third-party services and content

The App may link to, integrate with, or rely on third-party services. Tapster does not control third-party services and is not responsible for their availability, content, decisions, errors, security, or terms, except where mandatory law says otherwise.

Third-party service availability may change without notice. A feature working on one phone, wearable, issuer, card, country, or operating system does not guarantee that it will work on another.

11. Updates and availability

We may provide App updates to improve security, reliability, compatibility, or functionality. Some updates may be required to continue using the App or specific features.

We aim to keep the App available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or real-time availability. The App may be unavailable because of maintenance, updates, network issues, third-party outages, issuer or payment network outages, security incidents, or events outside our reasonable control.

12. Support

For Tapster App support, contact support@gotapster.com or visit https://gotapster.com/pages/tapster-support.

For card blocks, transaction disputes, payment limits, card eligibility, authentication problems, chargebacks, suspected fraud, or unauthorized transactions, contact your card issuer or bank directly.

13. Warranties and disclaimers

The App is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis to the extent permitted by applicable law. We do not promise that the App will be compatible with every device, wearable, card, issuer, country, merchant, or payment terminal, or that every payment-related flow will be successful.

Nothing in these Terms excludes statutory rights that cannot be excluded under applicable consumer law.

14. Liability

Tapster is not liable for indirect losses, loss of profit, loss of revenue, loss of data, business interruption, third-party service failure, issuer or bank decisions, merchant refusal, transaction decline, or payment network unavailability, except where such limitation is not permitted by mandatory law.

Tapster does not limit liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, intentional misconduct, gross negligence where applicable, or any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

If you are a consumer, these Terms do not limit any mandatory consumer protection rights you have under the laws of your country of residence.

15. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time. You may request account deletion through Tapster support, subject to legal retention requirements and any data needed to handle disputes, security, fraud prevention, accounting, compliance, or support matters.

Tapster may suspend or terminate your access to the App where reasonably necessary for security, compliance, fraud prevention, legal, operational, or breach-of-terms reasons.

Deleting the App or your Tapster account may not remove a provisioned payment token or stop a physical payment card. You should follow in-App instructions where available and contact your card issuer or bank to remove, block, or manage payment credentials.

16. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are material, we will provide reasonable notice through the App, by email, on our website, or by other appropriate means. The updated Terms will apply from the effective date stated in the updated version.

If you continue to use the App after updated Terms take effect, you accept the updated Terms. If you do not agree to updated Terms, you must stop using the App.

17. App store specific terms

For iOS users, these Terms are between you and Tapster, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the App or its content, maintenance, support, warranties, claims, or compliance matters, except as required by applicable law. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms for the purpose of enforcing the provisions that relate to your iOS use of the App.

For Android users, these Terms are between you and Tapster, not Google. Google is not responsible for the App or its content, maintenance, support, warranties, claims, or compliance matters, except as required by applicable law.

Your app-store account, download, installation, updates, and use may also be governed by Apple App Store, Apple Media Services, Google Play, or device manufacturer terms.

18. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by Swedish law, excluding conflict-of-law rules. If you are a consumer in the EU, EEA, United Kingdom, or another jurisdiction with mandatory consumer protection rules, you may also have rights under the mandatory laws of your country of residence.

Disputes should first be raised with Tapster support so we can try to resolve them. If a dispute cannot be resolved, it may be submitted to the Swedish National Board for Consumer Disputes (ARN) where applicable, the European Commission's online dispute resolution platform where available, or the courts competent under applicable law.
